Distribution of STAT1-binding sites relative to nearest TSSs in human. The histogram was generated from the putative STAT1-binding regions within 20 kb around TSS identified in un-stimulated cells [2]. The plot shows that STAT1-binding sites are enriched in regions more symmetrically around transcription start sites. The mean distance from the nearest TSS is 8533391 ± 295725 bases (mean ± SEM).
