The nucleosomes upstream of the TSS are assigned as minus (-) and the nucleosomes downstream of the TSS are assigned as plus (+). A) H3K79me3 and B) H3K4me3 are the most predictive HMV types selected for nonCpG-related genes from Set I and Set II, respectively (see Additional file 3).
