The histograms correspond to the initial generation, generations 5 and 10, and generation 50 when there is not significant improvement in the evolutionary processes. In the histograms, the x-axis gives a particular range of categories of MS/tMS values whereas the y-axis gives the number of individuals with an MS/tMS in that category. The vertical lines in the histograms indicate the category into which the MS/tMS value of the canonical code falls.
