From: Gains of ubiquitylation sites in highly conserved proteins in the human lineage
Representative cases of new, additional, and shifted ubiquitylation sites. Novel ubiquitylation sites (+) and the surrounding regions for NAGLU (A), BIRC2 (B), and LRPPRC (C) proteins are presented. Ancestrally conserved lysine residues in the LRPPRC protein that disappeared in great apes are highlighted on a gray background.
