Factor loadings ranked by decreasing dominance for H3N2 challenge data. uBLU shows a particularly strong component (Figure 1b), the group ♯ 1, that corresponds to the well-known inflammatory pathway. NMF and PCA algorithms also reveal an inflammatory component, but it includes fewer relevant genes than uBLU. See Figure 4 for the corresponding factor scores.
