Despite the fact that the genes share a similar profile over an interval of the data time-frame, more dominant patterns of expression over the remainder of the time course cause the genes to be assigned to different clusters (this is not, however, the case for all genes since some genes are close enough to each other in the cluster view that the arrows showing their position overlap).
