MIG +: since for any region that starts before the SNP g b and ends after the SNP g j , then the SNP-pair weights within the hatched area are omitted from computation. MIG ++: the SNP-pair weights within the hatched area are omitted from computation if for any region that starts before the SNP g t and ends after the SNP g j , or g t is out of the window win (in the latter case the omitted SNP-pair weights may be used in the next iteration).
