A density plot of p-values lower than 0.1, of the most stable predicted miRNA-target duplex for each gene-miRNA pair in (a) mouse, (b) C. elegans, and (c) Drosophila, with genes along the x-axis and miRNAs along the y-axis. A lower p-value indicates a lower probability of the energy of the duplex (or more favourable energies) occurring due to chance alone. Darker colours indicate lower p-values, as shown by the scale in the top-right corner of each sub-figure. White squares indicate no predicted interaction, or a p-value greater than the cuto3 value of 0.1.
