Primary amine can be crosslinked using 1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) to the peptide carboxyl terminus of the antibody heavy chain. This crosslinkage results in a covalent bond between the primary amine and the carboxyl.
