The separation of two heavily overlapping isotope distribution clearly illustrates the benefits of NITPICK's intensity model-based approach to the peak picking/feature extraction problem: the second isotope peak ofthe isotope distribution located at m/z 779.32 (charge 2) and the monoisotopic peak of the distributionlocated at m/z 780.35 (charge 2) are exactly superimposed and can only be distinguished by takingintensity information into account.
