Q A and Q B are the first and the second quinone receptors respectively and \(Q_{A}^{-}\), \(Q_{B}^{-}\) and \(Q_{B}^{2-}\) represent their oxidized states. PQ is the plastoquinon pool and P Q H 2 represents its protonated form.
