Functional architecture of the lactose operon hybrid model in Prokaryo. Transcription, translation and protein folding are modeled using an agent-based approach. The quantities for lactose transport into the cytoplasm and lactose metabolism within the cytoplasm are modeled through a continuous mathematical model (Table 1).
