Contact matrix of chromosome 22. A contact, or interaction, matrix derived from Hi-C data of chromosome 22. The x and y-axes correspond to the regions of the chromosome. The number value of each element denotes the number of contacts for the corresponding regions. Here the yellow regions are contact regions: regions with at least one recorded contact; dark green regions are non-contact regions: regions with zero recorded contacts; light green regions are centromere regions: regions with no contact data; and orange regions are diagonal regions that correspond to the same regions of the chromosome and therefore aren’t considered
