The variety between unmapped percent and error rate on the 125 bp reads (a) and the 150 bp reads (b). These two figures show the unmapped percent and error rate at each mapping quality level from 1 to 60. The two figures show a similar trend in that the error mapped percentage declines with the rise of unmapped percentage. This is because with the rise of mapping quality threshold, the number of alignments with a mapping quality below the threshold increases, and the alignment with a high mapping quality is less likely to be an error mapping
