Structure of key-entry pair map. This is an example of the key-entry pair map structure. Each key in the map is a segment of protein sequence with five amino acids, and it is also called a seed. Each entry has three attributes, i.e., sequence number, starting amino acid position, and the link to the next sequence. The algorithm scans the first protein sequence from left to right and groups every five amino acids into a key
