Size control variability is reduced by ploidy and increasing the copy numbers of G1 cyclins in both mother and daughter cells. The correlation between the relative change in volume of a cell during the G1 phase (RelativeΔVG1) and the normalized logarithm of cell size at birth (log(Vbirth/〈Vbud〉) is shown for ploidy (a-d) and cells with increased dosage of genes (e-j). The quantified correlation shows that the cell size independent noise is decreased by ploidy and also by increasing the copy numbers of G1 cyclins as well as BCK2
