Polygenic consensus signatures of H5N2 RRKR and RETR subgroups. A total of 247 residues across 11 protein segments of H5N2 AIVs obtained from the years 2009 to 2016 are identified from the differences between the RRKR and RETR subgroups. Polygenic consensus signatures for each group are shown by the constellation of the 247 unique amino acid residues across different protein segments (distinguished by colors). The residue positions at each protein are shown as numbers.
