Outline of the simulation approach. The top graph is the ground-truth network where red lighting represents the applied interventions. The middle graph is the ground-truth network represented by our framework, where gray arcs are the required default arcs, black arcs come from the ground-truth network above and red nodes represent intervention nodes. Nodes for mTOR are highlighted in fluorescent yellow, nodes for p70S6K are highlighted in green, and the arc between them is highlighted in cyan. These highlights were for better visualization of the transformation from the ground-truth network to the middle network represented by our causal discovery framework
