Computer aided molecular design. CAMD is an iterative two-step approach to design new antimicrobial peptides. The first step, the forward problem, is to determine quantitative relationships between antimicrobial peptide sequence and antibacterial activity. The second step, the reverse problem, is to find new antimicrobial peptide sequences with desired properties, e.g. improved ease of synthesis, through an intelligent search method. Adapted from [47]
