TE transpositions in rice. Transposition sites are indicated at top or bottom of each chromosome indicated by red or blue with line names. Lines ttm2 and ttm5 are regenerated individuals of rice. JRC01 and JRC05 are cultivars of rice core collection. Only transpositions of Tos17 are detected in regenerated lines. On the other hand, transposition events of Osr4.3 and Tos5 are detected in both JRC01 and JRC05. OsCmt3a-1 and OsCmt3a-2 are Tos17 insertion mutants of chromomethylase gene in chromosome 10. Insertion positions of Tos17 in OsCmt3a mutant are due to the activation and transposition of Tos17 by the cell culture. Tos17 did not activated in the chromomethylase mutant, and some insertions have been segregated out except homozygous insertions in chromosome 10. Osr4.3 and Dasheng are activated and transposed in chromomethylase mutants
