Example of a constrained disordered MoRF. The intrinsically disordered C-terminus of p53 adopts a helical fold upon partner binding (panel A). This is the only segment of the disordered region that appears in this crystal structure. Upon quantifying the conservation of sequence and of disorder in the C-terminus, the full length MoRF segment is classified as ‘constrained’ disordered, where both features are highly conserved (panel B).
