Two proteins from different SCOP families (violet and red) present structural resemblances. Since violet protein interacts with its green ligand through a region that is conserved in the violet-red structural alignment, violet's binding region is inferred to the red protein, suggesting that it could also recognize other proteins through this inferred region in a similar binding mode to violet-green interface.
