  1. Ensembl [17] contains protein orthologs based on sequence similarity as well as domain information, while OrthoMCL [18] is predominantly based on sequence similarity. As we can see from the table, using domain information (through Ensembl) generates significantly more many-to-many ortholog mappings thereby enhancing our interolog construction.
