Average ΔSASA per residue for different degrees of conservation. Conservation scores from ConSurf are discretized using the same coloring scheme as that used in [48]. The larger the discretized ConSurf scores, the more conserved the residues in evolution. The conserved residues tend to be more strongly involved in the biological interfaces.
