In two of the experiments, the knot/link product was fully identified and hence we know that the crossings are all right-handed as shown in the bottom two tangle equations. In the remaining four experiments, only the crossing number of the knot/link was determined. There is only one three crossing knot and only one four crossing link up to mirror image. Hence, we know that for the three and four crossing products, the crossings are either all left-handed or all right-handed.
