The initial objects. To illustrate the novel clustering process by artificial ants, we test a data set with four data types each of which consists of 10 two-dimensional object (x, y) which belong to four classes as shown in Fig. 1. Here x and y obey normal distribution N(u, σ 2). The normal distributions of the four types of data (x, y) are [N(0.2,0.12), N(0.2,0.12)], [N(0.6,0.12), N(0.2,0.12)], [N(0.2,0.12), N(0.6,0.12)], [N(0.6,0.12), N(0.6,0.12)] respectively.
