- The amount of excision and addition for an artificial rearrangement are randomly selected from a normal distribution. The μ and σ are the means and standard deviations. Indel lengths are selected from Poisson distribution, therefore only a mean is needed. The number of indels is selected from a distribution of the form P(n) = cne-3n to require an indel, but heavily weight n = 1. Location of indels are randomly selected.
