The accuracy of frame-shift corrections drops using divergent databases. For those ORFs with a frame-shift correction, the proportion that can be perfectly aligned to the original CDS are plotted. The accuracy of AlignFS drops as the minimum distance between the database and target species increases. By combining these results with Genewise, the drop is not as severe and remains above Genewise used individually
