Illustration of seed identification. The high-quality region is defined as the region where k-mer frequencies at both forward and reverse-complement strands are above a threshold. The seed is identified as the k-mer closest to the error base within the high-quality region. If there are multiple high-quality regions, the largest one is selected for seed identificaiton
