Labels within the circle represent the size of the OG corrected for proteins which were not mapped to UniProt (see data methods). The network represented in (b) shows the same network as in (a) after application of the consistency pipeline. Likewise (c) also shows the same network as (A) but was made consistent by applying random split and merge decisions. All three networks were pruned to the levels represented in Fig. 3a, for complete networks see Additional file 1: Figure S1
