Effect of the integration procedures on synthetic expression datasets. The two datasets simulate Microarray data (a) and NGS data (b). Each synthetic dataset was randomly partitioned in two sets. Then, each integration procedure was applied and DEGs were computed varying the p-value threshold. Receiver-Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves were computed using true DEGs, and the performances were assessed by means of Area Under the ROC Curve (AUC)
