Virulence protein expression mapped on the FLT of the synthetic single-cell movie. Cell instances of the movie are mapped to nodes of the FLT and colored according to InvF (virulence marker) expression levels. Each tree level represents a frame of the single-cell movie (402 levels, 400 frames, and 0.8 min interval between two consecutive frames). The FLT is very dense and deep. The stochasticity in cell growth is reflected in the InvF protein expression patterns among different: (i) trees (colonies), (ii) branches of a tree (cells of a colony), and (iii) levels of the trees (time points, frames)
