  1. Searches were performed at GCP with the e2-highmem-16 instance, selected by ElasticBLAST. The cost was estimated using the search time, the number of instances, and the hourly cost ($0.81432) of the instances (as of October 25, 2022). Costs for ElasticBLAST runs on preemptible instances were calculated at 20% of on-demand instance cost and are shown in the last two columns. The last row (“stand-alone”) shows data for a stand-alone BLAST + run, performed on one on-demand instance
